Customers with occasional shipments enjoy the same CompassTrak Transportation Management System (TMS) as our Managed Transportation clients.
When you establish a transactional account, we load our discounted national tariffs with select core carriers into the TMS for your utilization. From here, you have access to our web-based CompassTrak portal that allows you to easily enter and dispatch LTL and Truckload shipments based on the rates and service for each carrier listed. Spot quotes are frequently used to provide market pricing for truckload and large LTL shipments.
As your business grows and we develop a good historical record of your shipping patterns, we will suggest moving you to a Managed Transportation solution to reduce cost and streamline your logistics. Many of our Managed Transportation customers started as transactional clients.
